Tom began his journey with LAMH unable to leave his home to do basic tasks. Fast forward a few years and with support from our staff and voluntary work he is now our Assistant Manager in our Hamilton Charity Shop! ‘The charity shop is… a welcoming and acceptant place to be… giving you social interaction and opportunities to develop your skills in a supporting environment.’

Our volunteers give something back.
Our Hamilton Charity Shop is ran primarily by our volunteers! Their efforts allow the shop to open every day and remain an integral part of the community.
It provides an essential service to the community in surrounding areas, while raising funds for LAMH.
Other volunteering opportunities in the organisation exist in relation to our Infoline, Befriending & within our Wishaw Wellbeing Centre.
Our volunteers have active, fulfilled days.
There are endless ways to get involved at LAMH, whether it is in the charity shop, at events, or becoming part of Team LAMH championing all the great things we do.
